Esports and event organizer 983 Media is hosting a fundraising tournament to support those affected by the global pandemic of COVID-19. Cards for Humanity will include not one but four different collectible card game (CCG) tournaments, featuring Magic: The Gathering, Gwent, Mythgard, and Legends of Runeterra.

The publishers of each game is supporting the charity tournament with rewards and goodies for winners, participants, and viewers.

The top eight players for each of the four Swiss round events will have their matches aired on 983 Media’s Twitch channel beginning on Saturday, April 18. The massive weekend-long stream is expected to last 16 hours.

During the weekend stream, viewers will be encouraged to donate to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. The fundraising goal is set at $1000.

To broadcast Cards for Humanity, 983 Media is bringing in some big names from the CCG community. Merchant and AliasV will cast the Magic: the Gathering tournament. WatchFlake and McBeard will be hosting the Gwent event, Wholesome and WhatsUpWoody with Mythgard, and Charm3R and Lazergician for Legends of Runeterra.

Registration for the tournament is open now. More information can be found on the organizer’s official Discord page. The charity tournament begins April 11, with the final broadcast the weekend of April 18 -19.
