Thirty-three years after their original debut in arcades, the bubble-belching dragon twins Bub and Bob are back. Bubble Bobble 4 Friends is now available on Nintendo Switch in the North America eShop, for $39.99.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends is a multiplayer co-op party game in which up to four players jump and bubble-belch their way through 100 puzzle-room levels. Each dragon can trap enemies in bubbles and jump on them to reach higher platforms.

Special power-up bubbles can be collected to gain extra powers, like lighting and bomb bubbles.

Nostalgic fans will enjoy seeing the original 1986 arcade game as a free bonus. A free expansion is coming soon, adding new stages and the return of Baron von Blubba.

The entire game can be played with half a Joy-Con, allowing two players to play locally at the same time. Additional controllers will be required for three or four players.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends is developed by Japanese studio TAITO Corporation, the original developers of Bubble Bobble, as well as some of the most popular arcade games of all time, such as Space Invaders. TAITO is owned by Square Enix.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends is rated E for Everyone.
