Chances are you’ve played at least some form of Tetris in your lifetime; it’s one of the best-selling video games of all time (along with Minecraft). And now you can play it on your mobile phone, for free, courtesy of N3TWORK and The Tetris Company.

“Tetris is one of the most recognizable games in the world and we’re delighted today to make that experience available for free to millions of people worldwide,” said Neil Young, founder and CEO, N3TWORK. “We’re launching Tetris with a traditional solo gameplay mode, but we want fans to know that we’ve got so much more in store for them, and this is just the foundation of an incredible Tetris app experience we’re building at N3TWORK.”

This new version of tetris features swipe controls built specifically for mobile devices. It’s launching with a solo mode that can be played offline, as well as five different themes and 50 different player avatars. An online high score table is coming soon.

Tetris is available on both iOS and Android mobile devices. It’s free to play with ads, or you can pay $4.99 to disable the ads.
