Stranded Sails: Explorers of the Cursed Islands is an upcoming indie adventure game that combines farming and crafting with exploration. Developer Lemonbomb Entertainment, along with publishers Rokaplay and Merge Games, have released a new gameplay trailer ahead of the Tokyo Game Show this weekend.

In Stranded Sails, the player is ship-wrecked on an island amid an entire archipelago. You’ll need to explore the surrounding islands as well as farm, craft, cook, and ultimately build a ship to escape.

The adventure is single player only but you’re not alone. You’ll need to provide food and shelter for your fellow ship mates. Happy crew members provide tool upgrades, shortcuts, and bigger farmland. Like Stardew Valley there will also be dangerous caves to explore, enemies to defeat, and treasures to be found.

Stranded Sails: Explorers of the Cursed Island is due to launch in October on PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One. A free stand-alone prologue is available if you sign up for publisher Rokaplay’s mailing list. The prologue will be provided “shortly before the release of the game.”
