Frontier Developments announced the first DLC expansion coming to Jurassic World Evolution. The Secrets of Dr. Wu will add new dinosaurs and hybrids, as well as new story missions and research upgrades. It’s out November 20 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One for $14.99.
Jurassic World Evolution: Secrets of Dr. Wu adds new campaign missions on Isla Muerta and Isla Tacaño. As you probably guessed, they focus on the fairly evil science machinations of Dr. Henry Wu (voiced by BD Wong from the films). Wu is developing a new string of powerful hybrid dinosaurs. What could possibly go wrong? The missions will include unlocking new dig sites, facility upgrades, and research.
The DLC will add two new regular dinosaurs, the herbivore Olorotitan and the venomous Troodon. The new Wu-created hyrbids are the Stegoceratops, Ankylodocus, and Spinoraptor. You can also unlock a new gene for the Indominous Rex, allowing it to camouflage as in Jurassic World.
Note that you’ll need to unlock at least a four-star rating on Isla Muerta (the second island) to access the DLC content.
Also coming on November 20 is a free content update, regardless if you purchase the DLC or not. The 1.5 update will add an optional day/night cycle, new dinosaur sleeping and grouping behaviors, new contracts, and new large-capacity feeders.
Frontier will host a live stream on twitch on Nov. 20 to show off the new DLC. The stream will begin at 7am Pacific/10am Eastern. The Secrets of Dr. Wu is out Nov. 20 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One.
