While the days of constant video game movie tie-ins have come and gone, Activision has announced a pair of new Ghostbusters games to coincide with the new reboot arriving in theaters this Summer. The game will be available on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One in July. It’s described as “a third-person action role-playing game with up to four-player local co-op.”

I ain’t afraid of no ghost, but the screenshots and trailer make it look more like a top-down twin-stick shooter. The story takes place after the plot of the new movie. You play as the newest recruits, while “the now-famous Ghostbusters are off stopping high-profile poltergeists.” The new team looks like a 50/50 split of men and women, each with different weapon types and play styles. Is that a photon-powered minigun?

Ghostbusters: Slime City is the upcoming mobile game tie-in. Players can collect ghosts, craft proton packs, complete quests, and earn new weapons rewards. The game will feature both asynchronous co-op and player vs player online action.

The last Ghostbusters video game was the very poorly regarded Sanctum of Slime released in 2011. Sanctum of Slime also featured four-player cooperative gameplay. Before that was the single player focused Ghostbusters: The Video Game in 2009, a critical darling and a fan favorite for reuniting the original cast. It is often considered to be the unofficial third sequel to the original two films.

The new Ghostbusters game is set to launch on July 12, just days before the new reboot, which stars all women, on July 15. Slime City is also expected to launch in July. Bustin’ always makes me feel good, especially when I can do it with friends.
