Another Disney Infinity Star Wars Play Set has been announced. It will be one of three Star Wars Play Sets that will be released for Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition; we covered the first one last week. This Play Set, Rise Against the Empire, takes place during the original Star Wars trilogy and stars the iconic characters from Episodes IV-VI. Luke and Leia Skywalker will come with Rise Against the Empire, while Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader will be sold separately.

The Star Wars: Twilight of the Republic Play Set will be included in the Starter Pack for Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition along with the Base, character toys for Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker, and a web code card that unlocks extra content. The Starter Pack costs $64.99, but it sounds like it’s probably a reasonable amount of goods for the price.

Disney Infinity is a Toys to Life game, meaning that players collect figurines with NFC (Near Field Communications) chips inside, place them on a Base (or some type of NFC reader), and see them come to life on the screen. Skylanders are another popular franchise, and Disney Infinity is of course Disney’s version.
