Prolific, not-so-indie publisher tinyBuild hosted their annual tinyBuild Connect Publisher Showcase, featuring the first major look at their most anticipated game, Kingmakers.

Kingmakers was teased during last year’s tinyBuild Connect. Developed by Redemption Road, it’s a genre mash-up of third-person shooter with a medieval real-time strategy game, literally putting the player as a modern soldier, with modern weaponry and even vehicles, in large-scale medieval battles in 1403.
The game also uses RTS army management inspired by Age of Empires and Manor Lords, with players moving entire squads of hundreds or thousands of soldiers. The player will generally be outnumbered, however, leaving them to be the deciding factor on the battlefield.
Plus, Kingmakers supports up to four players with drop in/drop out co-op. In co-op, players control their own squads and armies.
As players complete missions and earn money, they’ll travel back to the present to purchase more advanced weaponry and supplies. In the past, they’ll need to establish their economy, harvest resources, and build defensive structures. The game also features real destructible environments and buildings.
It all looks chaotic, hilariously violent, and incredibly fun.
Kimgmakers will launch soon via Steam Early Access. It was originally given an October 8, 2025 Early Access release date before getting delayed.
TinyBuild Connect also announced a new game from The Kick is Watching developers: The Crab is Walking. The Crab is Walking is another mini kingdom builder and roguelite, as players build and merge buildings atop an ever-moving giant crustacean in an apocalyptic world.
Dinosaur-themed first-person shooter, Ferocious, is now out on PlayStation and Xbox. The Lift, a supernatural first-person house-flipping sim is coming next year on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. And Silent Road’s new name is Road to Jukai, a Japanese-set horror driving game launching next year. TinyBuild also launched a new demo for Graveyard Keeper 2, the isometric strategy sim, which is launching on September 22 on PC and consoles.
