While we anxiously await for any official news about the Switch 2, Nintendo is teasing a different console – a LEGO Game Boy! The LEGO Game Boy will release later this October.
The initial tease didn’t reveal any pictures yet, but we expect an adult-facing build of the original handheld and its classic gray brick design.

Nintendo and LEGO have collaborated in the past, including recreating a LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System (which I’m the proud owner of).
The 2600-piece LEGO NES build includes the console, controller, cartridge, TV, and TV stand. The TV features an ingenious scrolling screen of a Super Mario Bros. level, complete with jumping Mario figure. Like all LEGO products (especially those aimed at adults) it’s a bit pricey, but totally awesome (and officially sold out now). We’ll see if the new Game Boy features a similar level of interactivity.
Other collaborations include interactive LEGO Mario sets that feature electronic pieces with LEGO construction. And last year saw our fist official Legend of Zelda LEGO set with the 2-in-1 Great Deku Tree.
Look for details about the actual design, price, and exact release date of the new Nintendo LEGO set in the months ahead.
