Nintendo has released Super Mario Party Jamboree on Switch, the 13th game in the series. Jamboree featuring seven boards, over 100 minigames, and an all-new online multiplayer mode.

The party game features five all-new game boards, including the volcanic island of Goomba Lagoon, and the domed mall, Rainbow Galleria. Two classic boards from earlier Mario Party games also return: Rainbow Castle (Mario Party 1), and Western Land (Mario Party 2).

It also features the biggest roster of any Mario Party game to date, narrowly beating Super Mario Party (2018) with 22 characters, including newcomers Pauline and Ninji.

Players can enjoy 110 minigames, and lots of minigame-only modes if you want to just skip the whole board game thing. Many of the minigames use Joy-Con motion controls, requiring each player to have at least one half of the Joy-Con.

The all-new online mode is the Koopathlon, which supports up to 20 players online in a series first. Players compete to get the highest scores in minigames. The higher scores move further along the track towards the final goal. For a new co-op mode, the Bowser Kaboom Squad mode supports up to eight players competing in minigames to defeat a giant Bowser.

Online play requires a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. For a limited time, a 3-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online is included in the purchase.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is rated E for Everyone.
