Square Enix announced a release date for Fantasian Neo Dimension, the original JRPG from legendary Final Fantasy series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi. Fantasian Neo Dimension will release digitally on December 5 on PC (Steam), PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox.

Physical versions will also arrive on PlayStation 5 and Switch.

Fantasian is a traditional JRPG originally designed for Apple Arcade in 2021. It stars Leo, an amnesiac young hero who enters a strange alternate universe suffering from a mechanical infection. Players gather allies, explore a fantasy world, and engage in turn-based battles. It was well-received (especially for the mobile platform), though the story was a bit too cliché.

Fantasian also includes the legendary composer from many Final Fantasy games, Nobuo Uematsu.

The newly enhanced version, dubbed Neo Dimension, adds new English (and Japanese) voice acting, enhanced graphics, and improved gameplay balance and difficulty options. PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S versions will also support 4K resolution.

Players who pre-order will receive a bonus in-game item. The Vibran Secret Stone grants an experience boost to the character who equips it.

Fantasian Neo Dimension is rated E10+, with fantasy violence, mild blood, mild suggestive themes, and use of alcohol and tobacco.
