Electronic Arts and BioWare have revealed the voice actors appearing as major characters in upcoming fantasy RPG, Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
The reveal includes the seven companion party members, as well as the voiced, customizable protagonist, named Rook.
As the main character is fully customizable, Rook features no fewer than four different voice actor options to bring them to life. Each actor is a veteran of video game roles: Alex Jordan (Cyberpunk 2077), Bryony Corrigan (Baldur’s Gate 3, Erika Ishii (Apex Legends), and Jeff Berg (Battlefield 1).
BioWare RPGs are all about the beloved companions. Here are the voice actors for each of the seven companions in the game, including some familiar names from Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Ari Hillis (Mass Effect 3) as Harding, a minor dwarven scout from Inquisition, elevated to a full-fledged companion.
Ike Amadi (Spider-Man) plays Davrin, a monster-hunting Grey Warden with a young griffin.
Jee Young Han (Perry Mason) as Bellara, an elven Veil Jumper.
Jessica Clark (True Blood) as Neve, a private detective in Tevinter.
Jin Maley (Stark Trek: Picard) as Taash, a brash Qunari dragon hunter
Nick Boraine (Black Sail) playing Emmrich, a necromancer with a skeletal companion — voiced by fan-favorite actor Matthew Mercer (Critical Role)!
Zach Mendez (Horizon Forbidden West) as Lucanis, a well-spoken assassin.
Two important characters (and their voice actors) return from Dragon Age: Inquisition: Gareth David-Lloyd as Solas, and Brian Bloom as Varric. However, they’re not listed as official companions in Veilguard. Both characters are featured in the gameplay reveal trailer shown earlier this year.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is due out later this year on PC (Steam, Epic), PlayStation, and Xbox.
