Sega has released party racing game Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble exclusively on Nintendo Switch ($49.99).

Though the Monkey Ball series has been around for over twenty years, Banana Rumble is the first all-new game (non-remake) in the series in over ten years. The series features AiAi and friends rolling around tracks in gachapon-style balls like animated toys come to life.

Banana Rumble knows multiplayer mayhem is where the series shines. Players can race through 200 stages in Adventure Mode with up to four player co-op, or face off in Battle Moe up with to two players locally and 16 players online.

Every monkey character is completely customizable, from clothes and accessories to the ball itself, with over 300 pieces of customization. In a nod to gachapon vending machines, players can earn cosmetics through the Lucky Monkey Lottery vending machine by playing in online battles.

Banana Rumble adds a series-first spin dash move, giving players a bit more control to reach special shortcuts.

The Digital Deluxe Edition ($69.99) includes the SEGA Pass, which includes six new characters and 15 customization items based on other SEGA properties. The characters in the SEGA pass are Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Beat, and Axel (from Crazy Taxi).

The SEGA character pass can also be purchased separately ($24.99).

Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is rated E for Everyone, with Mild Fantasy Violence.
