TinyBuild has announced a sequel to their breakout hit Hello Neighbor with Hello Neighbor 2, coming to PC (Steam, Windows Store) and Xbox Series X in 2021. An early Alpha build for the PC version is available now to download and play for free on the official website.

In the sequel, Mr. Peterson, the titular neighbor from the first game, has disappeared. You play as Quinten, an investigative journalist looking into a series of missing people. The clues have led to a not-so-abandoned house inhabited by a creepy crow-like figure. Cue the tense gameplay of sneaking through a house trying not to get caught.

Hello Neighbor 2 features an all-new dynamic AI. The crow creature will learn from player movements and actions and try to prevent them from uncovering more secrets in the house. The world of Raven Brooks has also expanded a bit beyond the house, including the surrounding area where you’ll need to scavenge for supplies.

As a kid-friendly horror game popular with streamers, Hello Neighbor has been enormously successful. The franchise has spawned a series of books and comic books, and soon to be an animated TV show and a board game based on the player vs player spin-off, Secret Neighbor.

Hello Neighbor 2 will officially launch sometime next year.
