Two-person indie studio Glumberland has announced that Ooblets will launch as an Early Access title on PC (Epic Games Store) and Xbox One on July 15, for $24.99. It will launch with a 20% discount during the first week.

Ooblets has been in development for several years (the first trailer released in 2017). It features gameplay elements from farm and town life games such as Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, as well as creature collectors like Monster Rancher and Pokémon. Though Ooblets are known more for their dance moves than battle moves.

Players can explore the world of Oob, meeting new characters and collecting unique ooblets. The cute plant creatures can also be grown from seeds. Ooblets love to dance and can level up, unlock new moves, and compete in dance battles with other trainers.

Farming also plays an important role, as ooblets can be created by planting their seeds. You can also sell crops to purchase furniture and upgrades for your house and farm.

The game also features daily challenges, unlockable badges, and a story involving the secrets of Oob.

According to the official FAQ, Glumberland is aiming to a one year stint in Early Access. The Early Access version currently has about 6-40 hours of content. They expect to add at least two new regions, as well as other content, via major updates.

Ooblets Early Access will arrive on PC and Xbox on July 15.
