If there’s one licensed game app that needs a grand Halloween event every year, it’s Goosebumps. Developer Pixowl announced a Haunted Halloween event for the town-building mobile app, Goosebumps Horror Town, adding new missions, buildings, and monsters. The event also ties in to the recent theatrical release of Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween.

Goosebumps Horror Town is available on iOS and Android mobile devices. It’s free to download with in-app purchases.

The Haunted Halloween event adds 50 new missions inspired from the new film, as well as four new characters, 10 new monsters, and 50 new buildings.

“Since launch, Goosebumps: Horror Town has provided players with an ever-growing assortment of characters, monsters, and adventures set in R.L. Stine’s scarily fun world, and our new Haunted Halloween event is the biggest addition to the game yet,” said Arthur Madrid, CEO and co-founder of Pixowl. “Only your efforts can prevent Slappy from destroying everything the town’s residents have built, so join other Goosebumps fans in Horror Town as Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween opens.”

Goosebumps Horror Town launched earlier this year. It’s based on the best-selling YA book series by R. L. Stine, and licensed by Scholastic. Players gather infamous monsters from the book series to scare townsfolk, while also investigating any spooky activity with plucky kids and teens.

Goosebumps Horror Town is rated 9+. Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween is out now in theaters.
