If you’ve been playing Pokémon GO since the update, you may have noticed that catching seems to be tougher and Pokémon are bursting out of your balls with increased frequency. Thankfully, this is due to a bug and not a planned gameplay change.
In a tweet yesterday the team at Niantic alerted fans that this was not planned.
Trainers, a new bug affecting throw accuracy increases the odds of escape and omits the XP bonus. We are working on a fix, stay tuned…

I certainly have Because I’m super cynical, I had thought that this change may have been put there on purpose to boost the amount of in-game purchases because people would run out of balls faster. I’m very happy I’m wrong. Just yesterday I had a Pidgey break loose four times. A Pidgey! Unfortunately there’s no timeframe for when the issue might be fixed.
