I enjoyed Far Cry: Blood Dragon. It was ridiculously over the top and reveled in its neon art style and cheesy 80sness. I never would have guessed that the next iteration of Blood Dragon would find its way into Trials, the stunt bike series. The jokes on me, because now I suddenly very much care about a Trials game.

Trials of the Blood Dragon stars the twin kids of Far Cry: Blood Dragon’s Rex Power Colt, Roxanne and Slayter. The game promises a more narrative-driven adventure with 30 missions over seven worlds, including Vietnam, Miami, and Hell.

Trials of the Blood Dragon features the familiar physics-based gameplay of the Trials series as you perform stunts off ramps, loops, platforms and all kinds of dangerous objects. New vehicles include tanks, minecarts, jetpacks, and even their own grappling hooks and cyber-legs. Players can race against each other using multiplayer leaderboards for the best scores and times.

Australian Synth band Power Glove is also returning from Far Cry: Blood Dragon to provide the soundtrack. Songs can be unlocked over the course of the game.

The most surprising announcement was that Trials of the Blood Dragon is actually available right now for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC for $14.99.
