SMG Studio, Frictions, and The LEGO Group announced that LEGO Party is now available on Nintendo Switch 2. Good news — owners of the original Switch edition can download the Switch 2 Upgrade Pack for free. The Switch 2 version of LEGO Party features enhanced resolution and improved frame rates.
The new 1.6 Update is also available on all platforms, adding public lobbies, new game modes, and more minifigs.
Public Lobbies, which was weirdly missing from the original release, are now available, letting players host or join public games. And it’s cross platform!
The four new game modes for Challenge Zone are Crazy Feet (changing board spaces when passing), Raining Bricks (Golden bricks spawning every round), Stinky Feet (degrading board game spaces), and Hidden Brick, with the Golden Brick hidden inside several spawning treasure chests.
These advanced modes gradually unlock as players progressed, unlocking all of them at level 10.
Players can also mix up the Challenge Zone by adjusting advanced rules, such as multi-brick purchase, or modifying the cost of bricks.
The 1.6 Update also adds New Series 29 Minifigures, and they’re fully customizable.
SMG Studio also teases that while this is the biggest update to date, it won’t be the last.
LEGO Party is a Mario Party-like multiplayer party game, where up to four players move around a game board. Players race to collect Golden Bricks while engaging in quick and fun mini-games. It’s available on Steam PC, PlayStation, Switch, Switch 2, and Xbox, and rated E for Everyone.
