Envar Games has launched witch-themed open world survival adventure Witchspire via Steam Early Access. The co-op game will remain in early access for at least a year.
In Witchspire, players create their own custom witch avatar. Use magic instead of mundane tools to gather resources, defeat monsters, tame familiars, and build structures. Magic makes everything easier — who knew?
Players can tame over 30 different familiars. Friendly familiars can level up and aid in battle, as well as with gathering resources and craft new structures.
Building is also made easier thanks to the magical ability of astral projection, giving players a fully unlocked 3D view as they, ahem, defy gravity. And hey, broom flying, too!
Witchspire isn’t exactly a cozy game, however. An ancient corruption that creates monsters threatens the world, alongside falling meteors and other dangerous threats.
The Early Access version features two biomes to explore, and fully supports online co-op. Base building, creature taming, combat, skills and other core systems are all active. A full roadmap for Witchspire will be revealed during the AMA Stream + Roadmap Reveal on Wednesday, June 17 via the Envar Studios YouTube channel.
Witchspire is the debut game from Envar Games, a subdivision of Envar Entertainment, best known for producing art and VX with Blizzard and Riot on big games such as Overwatch and League of Legends.
