Indie studio Hatchery Games has revealed the release date for Voidling Bound, a new monster-taming action-RPG. Voidling Bound will release on June 9 on Steam PC. Console release, including Switch 2, will release at a later date.

Voidling Bound is a third person action-shooter starring Voidlings. As a Space Wrangler, you’ll collect, level up, breed, and evolve Voidlings to customize their abilities and become more powerful.

Then, send the friendly critters down to infested alien planets, where you control them directly through a process called Neural Binding. Voidlings come equipped with long and short range attacks, as well as secondary and ultimate abilities — like a third person shooter!

The story involves a dangerous enemy force called the Lesion, which corrupts worlds and spawns nasty monsters. By finding, raising, and bonding wit Voidlings, players can fight back via a series of missions.

By collecting mutagens, research points, and eggs, players can find new Voidling types, upgrade their abilities, and evolve them into new elemental forms that modify their attacks and abilities. Further modification via breeding and gene splicing is also possible.

So, we’ve got Warframe’s fast-paced ARPG combat, Pokémon’s creature collecting, evolution, and elemental types, and Spore’s alien creature modifications.
