Nintendo has revealed new details on the new content included in Super Mario Bros Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park. These Switch 2 version titles are getting out of control! Oh, and we also got an official release date. Super Mario Bros Wonder – Switch 2 Edition will release on March 26.

Aside from offering higher resolution support (up to 4K), smoother frame rates, and faster load times, the Switch 2 Edition also includes the new Meetup in Bellabel Park content. This all-new area of the Flower Kingdom is designed specifically for multiplayer, adding cooperative and competitive minigames and events.

The Local Multiplayer Plaza features 17 different games for up to three players on the same system. At the Game Room Plaza, players can play locally on separate systems, and online, with up to 12 players (with an additional six attractions).

Thanks to the Switch 2 GameShare feature, one copy of the game can be shared locally with up to three other players.

Note that a Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to play online.

Bellabel Park also features challenge courses taken from Super Mario Bros. Wonder. More courses unlock as your progress through the main game.

The Switch 2 Edition also adds a new playable character — Rosalina! Is this the first game to feature all three princesses – Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina?

Luma is also here as an Assist character when at least two people are playing together. Luma can’t take damage, but can gather coins and defeat enemies, and supports Switch 2 mouse controls. Assist Mode is another optional new feature, allowing new or younger players to recover from pit falls or avoid taking damage, regardless of which character is chosen.

Players who already down Super Mario Bros Wonder on Switch can purchase the Switch 2 Upgrade Pack.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder was already one of the best co-op games, and Mario 2D platforming games, on the Nintendo Switch (read our review). It’s rated E for Everyone.
