This week Gameloft hosted a 2025 Showcase event for ongoing life sim, Disney Dreamlight Valley. The Disney Dreamlight Valley 2025 Showcase confirmed the final free update for 2025 with Cinderella, revealed a ton of details surrounding next month’s big expansion, Wishblossom Ranch, and teased the next free content updates arriving through the first half of next year.

Whew!

First, the free stuff. It was heavily teased from the last roadmap that Cinderella was coming to the Valley at the end of this year. Sure enough, the bell of the ball will arrive during the next free update, titled The Winter Ball. Rescuing Cinderella will involve going on a quest for Fairy Godmother, who doesn’t join the Valley until near the end of the main story.

The Winter Ball update also adds a guild-like feature with DreamTeam, allowing up to seven friends to create an in-game community, create their own emblem, and share resources. The new update will arrive on December 10. Expect more information on Star Paths and events in the weeks to come.

As shown in the showcase, players can redeem the following codes in game for special goodies:

  • 2025FRAMEANDMOTIFS – Dreamlight photo frame, with several unique motifs
  • 2025HEADBAND – Horsey Headband
  • 2025SIGNPOST – Floral Alpine Signpost

The showcase also teased the next three major updates arriving in 2026. I say teased, but it’s pretty obvious judging by the pictures: Lady and the Tramp are coming Early 2026; Pocahontas in Spring 2026, and finally Hercules next Summer.

disney dreamlight valley 2025 showcaseHerc is an obvious choice given we already have Hades (via the Storybook Vale expansion). I’m pleasantly surprised by Pocahontas’ addition! I believe once she arrives, Disney Dreamlight Valley will be missing only a single official Disney Princess — Raya.

The Showcase’s main focus was the upcoming expansion, Wishblossom Ranch, arriving on November 13. Unlike the previous expansions, Wishblossom Ranch is launching as a complete story, with all content included.

The expansion adds four new Disney characters to the valley: Cruella de Vil, Snow White, Tigger, and Tinkerbell. Well, actually seven new additions if we include the three new Disney horses: Maximus, Khan, and Pegasus!

In addition to the three specific horses, players can also customize up to four of their own horses, and house them at their new stables. The alpine village is fully customizable, and players can explore the three biomes: Wishing Alps, Glamor Gulch, and Pixie Acres. Each biome is home to a new animal companion that players can befriend: goose, skunk, and bee.

Players can ride their horses at three different speeds, and horses automatically remove Night Thorns (and their equivalents in each expansion), and can leap over fences. Plus, players can dig, harvest, water, and mine while still on horseback.

Nice! I especially like that horses can water while moving, which appears a bit more efficient.

The three specific Disney horses each have a special ability that players will need to fully explore the expansion’s areas. Maximus can leap over gaps, Khan can break down wooden barriers, and Pegasus can glide (which seems the same as leaping to me). These horses also have their own friendship quests and rewards.

Players can also unlock new building and crafting options by discovering blueprints scattered around the new areas.

Wishblossom Ranch includes 5,000 Moonstones for use in the Premium Store. Players who purchase before December 3rd can unlock a Springtime Festival Outfit for their avatars and horse. The Dexlue Edition include another 5,000 Moonstones, an exclusive house skin and avatar clothes, and Sven (from Frozen) as a unique rideable mount.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PC, Mac, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox, and rated E for Everyone.
