Frontier Developments have revealed the Sorcery Pack DLC for Planet Coaster 2, adding new rides and new fantasy-themed scenery pieces. The Sorcery Pack will launch on September 16 ($12.99).

The Sorcery Pack adds new five rides, three coasters and two flat rides:

  • OUTAMAX – LSM Raid Coaster, with the unique feature of switching tracks.
  • OUTAMAX – Bike and Sidecar, a steel coaster with motorcycle cars and fast acceleration
  • Vector, a new all-ages child coaster
  • Flying Theatre, immersive ride that simulates flying
  • Gale Force, a pendulum flat ride that spins and tilts

Plus, hundreds of new scenery objects, from castles to courtyards, gargoyle statues, and cauldrons, as well as new animatronics and pre-build blueprints. The DLC also includes a new Entertainer, the wizardly Vesper.

The DLC will launch alongside Update 7. Free for all owners, the new update adds 3-axis rotation for scenery objects and buildings, improved pathing tools, and a brand new Challenge Mode. Challenge Mode adds regular challenge objectives that pop up with monetary rewards, as players work toward a 5-star park. Career mode parks as well as Sandbox parks can be converted to a Challenge Mode park.

Planet Coaster 2 had a rough launch last year (I wasn’t a big fan compared to the first game), but recent user reviews on Steam have begun pushing it out of a Mixed rating and into Very Positive.

Planet Coaster 2 is available on Steam PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The Sorcery Pack, and Update 7, will release September 16. It’s rated E for Everyone.
