Assemble Entertainment is bringing tile-laying tabletop game Beacon Patrol to PC later this year. A free demo is available now.

Beacon Patrol is a relaxing co-op game where players play as ship captains of the Coast Guard. Players take turns laying tiles to extend the watery map, creating a network of coastal paths for their cute little ship token. By exploring different tiles with their ship piece, the team scores more points.

The game can be played solo, or with up to four players in local and online multiplayer. Aside from the traditional board game experience, players can try Exploration mode to keep playing as long as they keep scoring. While Creative Mode simply gives unlimited tiles and movement if you just want to vibe with your ship token.

The tabletop game released from Pandasaurus Games in 2023, and received favorable comparisons to classic tile game Carcassonne. For another excellent and chill tile-laying puzzler, we highly recommend Dorfromantik.

The digital version also includes the Ships and Shores expansion, which adds seven new ship types and 20 new tiles. Each ship has its own unique ability to help score, move, or swap tiles.

Beacon Patrol is due to release on Steam PC in Q3 2025.
