One of our favorite games of the year just got better with Two Point Museum 2.0, available now on Steam. Hopefully coming soon to consoles as well.

The 2.0 patch adds 23 new floors and wallpapers — a big priority for fans, including a proper snowy floor, and darker tones.

The sandbox mode, one of our few complaints in our review, is also getting a nice upgrade. New sandbox options allow players to turn off Curator Class restrictions (and stick to a single museum), and instantly unlock all enlightenment items, workshop projects, and Kudosh goodies.

Staff and security are also getting some love. Two new staff items will keep staff happier, along with new staff traits. Plus, staff traits will now be listed on the training menu, making it easier to specialize staff for tours, expeditions, or toilet-cleaning duties. Staff will also gain XP a bit faster, making later expeditions less of a grind.

To help with some frustrating thievery, players can now place 360 cameras, as well as outdoor cameras. Instead of fleeing (and “escaping”) thieves caught by cameras will summon a security guard to catch and escort the would-be robbers. And those super pesky Molars will no longer nab the nearest object from their underground arrival, giving players a bit more time to react.

The 2.0 patch also comes with the usual bug fixes and optimization improvements. Check out the full patch notes here.
