Rockstar Games may have crushed our dreams with the recent delay for Grand Theft Auto 6, but now they giveth unto us a sparkling new GTA 6 trailer!
Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer #2 is the first official glimpse we’ve had of the high-profile game since the first reveal trailer back in December 2023.
The trailer features some excellent licensed music (Pointer Sisters!) and introduces many of the major characters in the story.
GTA 6 features two primary protagonists, and they’re a couple! Jason Duval was a troubled teen who joined the Army, then found himself smuggling drugs in the Keys. Lucia Caminos is a natural-born fighter from Liberty City who’s fresh out of prison.
Supporting cast includes conspiracy theorist and friend to Jason, Cal Hampton, business owner and drug lord Boobie Ike, ex-drug dealer turned rapper Dre’Quan Priest, and aging smuggler and mentor, Brian Heder.
The official website has also received an overhaul, along with a new synopsis:
Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.
The website also introduces other regions within the totally not-Florida state of Leonida, including the Leonida Keys, the swampy Grassrivers, and Mount Kalaga National Park.
Grand Theft Auto 6 will release on May 26, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
