Confused by the Daisy Boutique Challenge in Disney Dreamlight Valley? You’re not the only one!

Dreamlight Valley does a surprisingly terrible job explaining how the Boutique Challenges work. We’ve provided a step-by-step guide below, with screenshots, to help you complete challenges every day (or when they appear on the seasonal Star Paths!).

First, you’ll need to unlock Daisy.

To unlock Daisy, you must first unlock Vanellope and have placed the Valley Visit Station somewhere in your Valley. You’ll receive an in-game message from Mickey Mouse to build Daisy’s house, which costs 20,000 Star Coins.

Once Daisy arrives, complete her first quest to unlock and build the Boutique somewhere in your Valley.

The next Daisy quest is completing your first Boutique Challenge.

Walk up to the raised platform in the Boutique, and enter Build Mode by opening your Furniture tab. Only items and clothing placed in this area count toward the challenge!

To complete the challenge, you’ll have to place objects and clothing (via the mannequins) on that raised platform area, that feature those tags.

The traits listed under Both means those traits must appear on at least one furniture object, as well as at least one clothing item (on the mannequins).

In this example, my traits for today’s challenge are: Yellow, Cinderella, Delicate, Familiar, Socks, and Rugs. Since I already have several objects in the area, as well as fully-dressed mannequins, I’ve already completed some of the requirements, as indicated by the check marks next to some of the requirements.

I’m still missing Cinderella under Both, and Rugs under Furniture.

First, I go into my Filters and select Cinderella, leaving me with a few options that I’ve picked up from Scrooge’s store, or as quest rewards or random bag drops.

I drop the Marble Coffee Table onto the floor. I do not get a check mark yet, which means I’m still missing Cinderella clothing (as Cinderella is listed under Both).

Now I do the same Cinderella filter with my Wardrobe, finding only two options, a skirt and a shirt. I don the shirt, and make sure I’m wearing socks. I could also double check that I’m wearing clothes with Delicate, Familiar, and Yellow, though the other dressed mannequin can also satisfy those requirements.

Interact with a mannequin in the challenge area and select Edit. This will copy your currently worn outfit onto the mannequin. I can’t help but throw on the pirate coat and tricorn hat, too!

I open my Build Mode back up and voila — every trait is checked off! Return to Daisy and ask if you completed the challenge for your reward.

If something became unchecked while editing a mannequin, it means you removed clothing that satisfied another trait. Make sure all the traits listed under Both and Wardrobe are satisfied between the two mannequins.

Note that it’s possible you won’t be able to complete a challenge due to a lack of items and clothing, especially in the early and mid-game. In that case, tell Daisy to cancel the challenge, and you will get a new one when the next challenge rolls around.

You can complete one Boutique Challenge per day, for a reward of 100 Daisy Coins each. These coins are used in the Boutique to purchase furniture and clothing that can be customized using Touch of Magic. Completing Boutique Challenges is also required to complete Star Path duties.

A pro-tip for future Boutique Challenges is to leave as many different objects and varied clothing options as you can in the challenge area. Often times you’ll complete or nearly complete daily challenges if everything is already set up in that area. Note that you’ll still need to talk to Daisy every day and ask about the daily challenge, then ask if you completed it.

Completing a Disney Dreamlight Valley Boutique Challenge can be, well, challenging at first. But once you unlock more and more items, you can complete them relatively quickly, and be well on your way to expanding your custom item emporium.
