During the Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase, Capcom revealed more details about the first Title Update, as well as the first seasonal event.

Title Update 1 (1.01) will release on Thursday, April 3, adding returning monster Mizutsune, and new town area, the Grand Hub.

Mizutsune is a water-based dragon, and hunters will need to reach Hunter Rank 21 to take on its quest, and earn new gear.

The Grand Hub is a new large town area where multiple hunters can hang out and access all the facilities, including new Arena Quests.

In Arena Quests, up to two hunters compete for the fastest completion time against monsters with predetermined equipment. By completing events and quests players can unlock special pendants.

Also at the Grand Hub, players can enjoy the new Barrel Bowling minigame, and hear the Diva sing at night. The Grand Hub unlocks at Hunter Rank 16.

Finally, the Title Update will add the campaign’s boss monster, Zoh Shia, as a regular monster that can be fought post-game. Zoh Shia will rarely appear to hunters over HR 50 in the Ruins of Wyveria, and features its own set of angelic armor and equipment.

On April 22, the Grand Hub welcomes the Spring-themed Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, Monster Hunter Wilds’ first seasonal event, which will add special seasonal quests.

Hunters eagerly waiting for harder monsters will see the first arrival on April 29, with an Arch-tempered Rey Dau Event Quest. Arch-tempered monsters are even stronger than Tempered versions. Hunters can craft an awesome new armor set as well.

The showcase also teased another update at the end of May, with a Capcom Collaboration, and additional features. Plus, details about Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, which includes emotes, cosmetic gear, and camp gear.

The second major Title Update will arrive later this Summer.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, and rated T for Teen.
