FuturLab has announced PowerWash Simulator 2, the sequel to the surprising hit first-person washer. PowerWash Simulator 2 will launch later this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
PowerWash Simulator 2 adds an all new campaign in the grimy region of Muckingham. Between jobs in Sponge Valley and Lubri City, washers can kick back in their home base. Player homes can be fully decorated with furniture and other trinkets, and can house multiple friends in co-op.
Speaking of co-op, the sequel adds split-screen local co-op for the first time. Local players also share campaign progression as the clean the world. The couple that cleans together, stays together?
“PowerWash Simulator 2 feels like a natural evolution from its predecessor. The original game’s design was all about eliminating anything that detracted from the pure satisfaction of taking something dirty and making it clean,” said Dan Chequer, Design Director, FuturLab. “PowerWash Simulator 2 is all about adding in even more avenues for players to achieve that same sense of satisfaction, with new tools, features and quality of life improvement. We’re really excited to see players dust off their power washers and get stuck into this brand-new campaign, that brings you even more to clean, and even more ways to release the pressure.”
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to finally announce the sequel to one of our most successful titles. With over 17 million players worldwide, PowerWash Simulator has allowed us to self-publish a sequel, an exciting challenge we are delighted to undertake,” said Chris Mehers, COO, FuturLab. “We look forward to bringing players the next step-up in the PowerWash Simulator series.”
The original game, released in 2022, has been a beloved hit by critics and fans, enjoying a 97% Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam. PowerWash Simulator received several free updates as well as licensed premium DLC packs since release.
