The Sew Delightful update is live now on life sim Disney Dreamlight Valley, adding Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, a new Star Path, and some big floating islands.

Sew Delightful refers to Sally, the stitched-up heroine and love interest for Jack in The Nightmare Before Christmas. In order to unlock Sally, however, players will need to have finished the base game story quests, and reached level 10 friendship with Jack Skellington.

A new update means a new seasonal Star Path. This year’s holiday-themed event is the Frost & Faries Star Path, featuring lots of crystals and teal-colored fey outfits. Players who manage to claim all the items from the Free and Premium tiers can earn new color variants and other rewards from a Bonus Rewards section.

The Gift of Giving event also returns, starting December 18 through December 31. Players can collect wrapping paper, and use it to create seasonal decorations and rare gifts to boost friendship levels. A chest will also add a recipe toward crafting your own snow man.

This update also adds two hugely request features: more rotations, and more room!

The update expands the previous rotation limitation of four to a whopping 16, giving players a lot more options for object placement — including houses!

And speaking of options: how about new floating islands? Once players have progressed far enough in the main quest (hint, around the time you meet Fairy Godmother), Merlin will have a new quest to add new floating islands to the Valley.

There are four islands altogether, each modeled after a different biome, and each costing 15,000 Dreamlight to unlock. Each island adds 130×130 squares of building space, adding some much-needed relief to crowded, end-game Valleys.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PC (Steam), Mac, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox.
