Indie developer Feel Free Games have released farm sim Luma Island on Steam. It’s currently available with a launch discount of 20% ($15.99) through December 4.
Luma Island is an isometric, 3D farm sim that de-emphasizes relationships and romance. It also lacks a stamina system or inventory management that games of this genre typically use.
Players can explore the large world and progress through seven different professions throughout their career, such as cook, fisherman, brewer, and treasure hunter. Mine resources, craft tools, discover new areas, and build out your dream home.
Players can also discover the magical Luma animals that populate the region. Lumas grant unique powers that unlock new areas or abilities to complete puzzles and quests.
The art style looks charmingly retro, similar to a PlayStation 1 RPG. Characters look like children’s toys, which I find delightful. Luma Island also supports online co-op multiplayer.
Luma Island is available now on Steam, and according to user reviews, plays great on Steam Deck. It also features nearly 100 Steam achivements.
