The Disney Dreamlight Valley 2024 Showcase announced the next big expansion for the Disney-fied life sim. The Storybook Vale Expansion will launch in two parts, with Part 1 releasing November 20.

The Storybook Vale adds more story content alongside three new Biomes: The Bind, Mythopia, and Everafter.

The world of Storybook Vale features heroes such as Flynn Ryder and Merida. But the world was conquered, then torn apart, by a pair of big villains: Maleficent and Hades. Players will journey to the new realm and save the Vale while making new friends, and using the new Net tool to catch flying snippets of stories.

The previous Expansion, A Rift in Time, released in three parts, while Storybook Vale consists of two. During the Showcase, the developers confirmed that Storybook Vale has just as much content, with bigger halves so players don’t have to wait as long to experience it all.

Part 1 will feature Flynn, Merida, and Hades in each of the new Biomes, while Maleficent will show up as a major character in Part 2, along with an unrevealed new character. Part 2 will release Summer 2025.

The showcase also teased the roadmap of free content updates for the first half of 2025. Judging by the roadmap picture, we’re guessing Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan.

The next free content update will feature The Nightmare Before Christmas, beginning December 4.

Storybook Vale will be available as a separate purchase, and includes 5,000 Moonstones. The Magical Edition includes another 5,000 Moonstones, plus some bonus content including new outfits, house style, and a baby pegasus companion.

First-timers to Disney Dreamlight Valley can grab the Storybook Vale Bundle, which includes the base game and 13,000 Moonstones, or catch up on everything with the Enchanted Edition, which also includes the first Expansion, A Rift in Time, and a total of 18,000 Moonstones.

Moonstones are Dreamlight Valley’s premium currency. They can also be earned in-game by completing tasks. Spend Moonstones to purchase special cosmetic items and unlock the premium track of the Star Path.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is rated E for Everyone, and available on PC and Mac, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox consoles. The base game and first Expansion are also currently on sale for 35-40% off.
