Ravensburger and Disney have announced the sixth set for popular trading card game, Disney Lorcana. Azurite Sea launches with a pirate and sea-faring theme this November.
Here’s the official lore description for the new set:
Repairs to the damaged Great Illuminary remain incomplete following Shimmering Skies [the fifth set], so the Illumineers set out on an expedition to save it. Along with their seafaring glimmers, Illumineers sail the dangerous Azurite Sea seeking the owner of the hidden inkcaster discovered in Ursula’s Return. They can only hope to find a more experienced Illumineer, someone who can teach them the valuable skills that will help fix the Great Illuminary. Their only clue in this search is a mysterious owl symbol inscribed on the base of the hidden inkcaster that matches a symbol shown on maps of the Azurite Sea. Meanwhile, Jafar, who remains determined to rule over the realm, searches for the other half of the powerful Hexwell Crown.
Azurite Sea adds characters from Big Hero 6 to the trading card game, including Baymax, Hiro, and the whole superhero crew. I’m also stoked to see the debut of Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers, including Monterey Jack, Gadget, and even Zipper!
The new set will launch with two new starter decks (Ruby/Amber and Sapphire/Emerald), along with a new Illumineer’s Trove. New playmats include Elsa and Donald Duck, along with new card sleeves and deck boxes.
A new gift box will release alongside the set. The Stitch Collector’s Gift Set includes four Azurite Sea booster packs and a unique water foil promo card of Stitch – Alien Buccanneer — the first of its kind in Lorcana.
Disney Lorcana is a competitive trading card game where players construct decks and play cards to outrace their opponents to 20 lore. Lorcana also added a cooperative and solo mode in the fourth set earlier this year.
Lorcana Azurite Sea will launch first at hobby stores and Disney theme park stores on November 15, with mass market release on November 25.
