Modiphius Entertainment announced Mass Effect: The Board Game — Priority Hagalaz, a tabletop game for 1-4 players, designed by tabletop veterans Eric M. Lang and Calvin Wong Tze Loon. It’s releasing later this year.

Mass Effect: The Board Game is a co-operative adventure that features a narrative campaign with multiple choices and branching paths. It uses a card system to simulate the AI and the stories, choices, and consequences that influence the story and missions.

The story is set during the events of Mass Effect 3. Commander Shepard and squadmates Liara, Tali, Wrex, and Garrus will level up, gain new abilities, and equip powerful gear. Complete special loyalty missions to unlock special powers. The power of friendship!

The box will features six 32mm miniatures of Liara, Tali, Wrex, Garrus, and both male and female Shepard.

Here’s the official story blurb:

The year is 2186. On the remote world Hagalaz, a research cruiser from the terrorist organization Cerberus has crashed directly in the path of a deadly storm. With little time before the storm hits, Shepard must lead their squad through the cruiser to uncover its sinister secrets and keep them out of the hands of the enemy. However, the ship holds more dangers than just its former crew…

The subtitle “Priority Hagalaz” may denote future games or story expansions using the same core gameplay.
