Resolution Games (Demeo) has announced a collaboration with Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast to produce an officially licensed virtual reality game set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe.

The announcement doesn’t include any images, videos, release dates, or even a title. But we can look to Resolution Games’ previous VR game release, Demeo, for a good indication.

Demeo is a VR tabletop RPG that released in 2021. It mimics the gameplay and feeling of playing around a board of miniatures as players explore dungeons and battle in tactical combat in four player co-op. You can virtually roll dice, and even paint your minis!

“As anyone who’s played Demeo can guess, we’re incredibly huge fans of tabletop roleplaying games,” said Tommy Palm, founder and CEO, Resolution Games. “They have an unparalleled power to bring people together to create shared experiences, and that’s something we’ve tried to capture, too, with nearly every release in our library. Dungeons & Dragons offers one of the richest fantasy worlds that has ever been created, and it only gets bigger with every new sourcebook and adventure. We’re beyond humbled to have the opportunity to work with such an incredible IP and look forward to sharing the first details of this new project in the future.”

Demeo, and PvP spin-off Demeo Battles are available on Steam PC, MetaQuest, and PlayStation VR. Demeo is currently 50% off on Steam through January 29. All versions support cross-play.
