Ravensburger, board game publisher of Disney Lorcana and Disney Villainous, announced another tabletop game based on the Disney license: Chronicles of Light: Darkness Falls (Disney Edition). It’s arriving to retail stores on July 21 ($29.99).

Chronicles of Light is a cooperative, modular adventure game that uses elements of tabletop role-playing, set in the Disneyverse. Characters take on the roles of various Disney heroines, such as Moana, Belle, Violet (from The Incredibles), and Maid Marian, a deep cut from Robin Hood!

The heroines will complete quests and defeat shadowy Disney villains while gaining new allies, items, and creatures to help them along the way.

“As we’ve seen time and time again with games like Disney Villainous and Disney Lorcana TCG, bringing Disney heroes and villains into one shared universe reignites powerful nostalgia and provides a platform to bring friends and families together in an immersive and highly creative experience,” said Lysa Penrose, Head of New Games Marketing at Ravensburger North America. “We know how imaginations ignite when you bring Disney storytelling to life in board games, and we can’t wait for you to see what happens when Disney Princess characters and other Disney heroines join forces and take center stage.”

The board game boasts an all-women design and illustration team, and some lovely box art, though no look at actual game components yet. Expect more details in the months to come.

Chronicles of Light: Darkness Falls (Disney Edition) is designed for up to 4 players, with an age rating of 8+. Pre-orders will begin July 7.
