During this week’s PlayStation State of Play, the Roblox Corporation announced that one of the most popular games in the world is coming to PlayStation.

Roblox will release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on October 10. It will feature full cross-platform support with PC, mobile, Xbox, and VR.

Roblox boasts a user base of over 60 million players, and is especially popular with younger gamers. If you’re a parent, you’re probably quite familiar with it, whether you want to be or not.

Roblox is a gaming platform where people can create and join millions of 3D games together, in a variety of themes and gameplay styles. Players can create their custom avatars and join any number of social, competitive, and cooperative games. It’s free-to-play, and supported by in-game currency called Robux.

Due to its popularity with underage gamers, Roblox has come under frequent scrutiny for its marketing business practices and safety measures. A recently added age rating system and more robust safety tools and chat filters have been added to help parents and kids navigate this digital playground.

Roblox is also available on Windows and Mac PCs, Android and iOS mobile devices, and Xbox.
