Ravensburger has announced the the third entry in the delightful co-op board game series Horrified, and it’s all about Greek Mythology. Horrified: Greek Monsters will release exclusively on Amazon and Target on September 5, and worldwide on October 1 ($34.99).

In the Horrified series, players take on the role of investigators and heroes. By moving around the board and gathering items, they can repel and defeat various monsters, while also rescuing terrified townsfolk.

Each monster features a unique defeat objective and sequence of events that must be completed by the heroes. Players can choose (or randomize) to play with different numbers and combinations of monsters to adjust the difficulty.

In Greek Monsters, players will battle Medusa, Cerberus, Chimera, Minotaur, Cockatrice, and a Siren. Four of the monsters feature a new mechanic: hidden lairs that must first be uncovered by discarding item cards.

The original Horrified (2019) featured classic Universal monsters, such as Dracula and Frankenstein. A sequel, Horrified: American Monsters, released in 2021, and included the likes of Bigfoot and the Chupacabra.

“After tackling our favorite cryptids in Horrified: American Monsters, we wanted to gamify some of the most iconic monsters in the world, so of course we found inspiration in Greek myths,” said Mike Mulvihill, Game Development Manager, Ravensburger. “Horrified: Greek Monsters is filled with surprises for first-time and long-time Horrified players from bold and vibrant art direction to the new Lairs mechanic.”

Horrified: Greek Monsters has an age rating of 10+ and supports 1-5 players.
