Dotemu and Tribute Games have announced the final new character coming in the Dimension Shellshock DLC for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. It’s Karai!

Dimension Shellshock also finally has a release date: August 31 on PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox ($7.99).

As an aging Turtles fan, I’m less familiar with this former Foot Clan soldier. She’s been around in the comics since the 90’s, and made her television debut in the early 2000s. Karai also appeared in the live-action film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows in 2016 as Shredder’s right-hand warrior.

As a deadly trained ninja, Karai battles her enemies with supernatural powers, and a length of chain, apparently.

Karai joins Miyamoto Usagi as the two new DLC fighters coming in Dimension Shellshock, bringing the total playable roster up to nine.

The DLC also adds a new wave-based survival mode with temporary powerups and modifiers, and a new soundtrack from composer Tee Lopes.

A free update is launching alongside the DLC, adding  new color swaps for ever fighter.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a classic side-scrolling beat ’em up that supports up to six players in online and local co-op.

It’s rated T for Teen.
