You forgot all about Pokémon Sleep didn’t you? Well, The Pokémon Company sure hasn’t. A new trailer reveals how the heck this goofy (but probably brilliant) mobile app works. Preregister now on Google Play to be notified when it launches later this month on mobile devices.

In Pokémon Sleep, you’ll be gathering Pokémon every time you wake up in the morning (or after naps), and recording them in the Sleep Style Dex.

Players will work with Professor Neroli and the king of sleep himself, Snorlax. The longer the player sleeps, the greater Snorlax’s power, and the more Pokémon will gather around him.

Pokémon can be given berries to increase their friendliness, and turn them into helpers.

Every Monday, players can choose a new location with a new Snorlax, to try and encounter new and rare Pokémon. Pokémon come in three kinds of Sleep Types: Dozing, Snoozing, and Slumbering.

Players can also compare their sleep cycles and Pokémon helpers with friends.

The goal is to improve your sleep patterns by getting plenty of rest, and setting consistent times for going to bed and waking up, earning more points in the game.

The optional Pokémon Go Plus+ device pairs with Pokémon Sleep (as well as Pokémon GO), adding an extra Pikachu helper ‘mon. This Pikachu can sing a lullaby at sleep time, and wake up with Pika-cries in the morning.

Yeah, I already have a cat that does that, thank you very much.

The Pokémon Go Plus+ device will release on July 14. The app should be out by the end of the month. It’s rated E for Everyone.
