The biggest news was the anticipated announcement of DLC for Scarlet and Violet. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero will launch later this year. Like the DLC in Sword and Shield, it will release in two parts.
Part 1 is called The Teal Mask, where you’ll visit the land of Kitakami on a school trip.
Part 2, The Indigo Disk, has you traveling to Blueberry Academy as an exchange student.
Both DLC parts will feature new and familiar Pokémon who can’t normally be found in Paldea. They also tease two new Legendary Pokémon: Ogerpon and Terapagos.
The Teal Mask will release this fall, with The Indigo Disk arriving later this winter. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is available now for pre-order on the Nintendo eShop ($34.99). If you purchase the DLC by October 31, you’ll receive a Hisuian Zoroark via a download code.
Other Scarlet and Violet news includes new Paradox Pokémon appearing in event Tera Raid Battles. Starting now, Scarlet players can battle Walking Wake (Water/Dragon Type), and Violet trainers can encounter Iron Leaves (Grass/Psychic Type).
Scarlet and Violet players can also now connect with Pokémon GO. Postcards sent from GO to Scar-Vi can alter the pattern of Vivillion. Sending postcards to the mobile game will add Roaming Form Gimmighoul, allowing GO players to work on getting those coins needed to evolve Gholdengo.
Pokémon Sleep was originally announced in 2019! Our first official update in FOUR YEARS revealed how the mobile game will work.
By leaving your smartphone by your pillow while you sleep, the app will track your sleep habit. Sleep will be categorized in one of three types: dozing, snoozing, and slumbering. Different Pokémon will gather around Snorlax depending on your sleep type.
Pokémon Sleep will launch this summer. A new Pokémon GO Plus accessory with lullaby-singing Pikachu will release on July 14.
