Planet Coaster needn’t be the only theme park game in town. Bandai Namco announced a closed beta test for their upcoming theme park sim Park Beyond, developed by Limbec Entertainment (Tropico 6).

Eager players can register for the beta test now. Registration ends May 8, and the beta runs from May 9 to May 19. The beta test will only be available via PC on Steam.

Testers will have access to dozens of modules to craft unique, gravity-defying coasters. By participating in the test, players can earn a golden skin omnicar vehicle used in the final game.

Whereas Planet Coaster is couched in real-world physics, Park Beyond goes, well, beyond that, creating rides that are literally impossible, but sure look like a blast. Park Beyond calls it “impossification,” as players can add wacky modules to coasters such as chasms, cannons, and ramps.

Players can create their own coasters, shops, and entire theme parks using various themes, such as Western and Candyville, and share them on any platform.

Park Beyond will also feature a heavy dose of personality, with a full single player campaign featuring the villainous CEO Giles Hemlock.

Park Beyond will release on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox X/S on June 16. Pre-orders include the Pac-Man Impossification Set, featuring rides, shops, and decorative items (shown above).

Park Beyond is rated E for Everyone.
