Square Enix and developer Don’t Nod have announced that Life is Strange 2 will release on Nintendo Switch on February 2, 2023. It’s now available for pre-order on the eShop.

Life is Strange 2 is originally launched in 2018 through 2019 over five episodes. While the sequel features gameplay and themes similar to the first game, it tells an original, separate story.

You play as Sean Diaz, a doting big brother who lives in Seattle. When your younger brother Daniel exhibits telekinetic powers, the two brothers embark on a trip to escape the police. Along the way you’ll make critical choices that will shape your relationship, and how Daniel views and uses his new found powers.

The sequel was met with favorable reviews. It was the last game in the series to release episodically. The next game in the series, Life is Strange: True Colors, was developed by Deck Nine, and released as a normal, single game in 2021.

Most recently, the original Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm enjoyed a remastered release with the Life is Strange Remastered Collection, in 2022.

The Life is Strange series is rated M for Mature. Life is Strange 2 is also available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
