Nintendo released a new trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The “Seek Your Treasure” trailer showcases more gameplay, story, and characters. Most importantly, it reveals three new Pokémon, two of which are exclusive to one version.

Armarouge is a Fire/Psychic type, and exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet.

The Fire Warrior Pokémon has giant pauldrons that transform into its unique Armor Cannon move. It deals extra Fire damage, but at the cost of lowering Armarouge’s defenses.

The Pokémon Violet version of Armarouge is Ceruledge. Ceruledge is a Fire/Ghost type with fiery sword arms. It can use the fire-move Bitter Blade, which also restores its HP.

Then there’s Klawf, the crab.

The Ambush Pokémon is a Rock type, which is unfortunately not a great defensive typing. Klawf’s Anger Shell ability is another unique new addition the series, lowering its defenses while boosting its attack and speed when it reaches half health.

In one of the three paths, trainers will face off against Team Star. Team Star are villainous, youthful rebels.

Trainers are encouraged to seek out their bases and take them down by defeating waves of grunts, followed by a boss battle. Each boss comes equipped with a special Starmobile battle station. The color of Team Star’s uniform will differ depending on the Pokémon version.

Scarlet and Violet will also introduce Auto Battles. Any Pokémon on your team can be sent to Auto Battle any wild Pokémon in the field, letting their AI take control of the fight while you can do other things. Nice!

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will release on November 18 on Switch. They’re rated E for Everyone.
