Hot Wheels Unleashed is getting its first major expansion pack this spring. Monster Trucks Expansion will add five new vehicles and a new racing environment when it launches on April 21.
The initial announcement doesn’t actually reveal the five new vehicles. We assume they’re monster trucks! Developer Milestone will reveal the new vehicles as we get closer to launch date.
In addition, the expansion adds a new racing environment, the Stop Motion Studio. This neat location looks like a miniature set used to film big special effects scenes in movies. The set can be changed into four different scenarios: jungle, quarry, desert, and icy mountain.
The expansion also adds new customization items and a themed Track Builder Module.
Monster Trucks Expansion is included in the Hot Wheels Pass Vol. 2 pack, which includes all the post-release content coming in February, March, and April. Pass Vol. 2 will be available beginning February 17. The expansion can also be purchased separately.
Hot Wheels Unleashed is available on PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox. It’s rated E for Everyone.
