Mattel, along with racing game developer Milestone, announced Hot Wheels Unleashed, a new arcade-style racing game based on the iconic toy line, coming to PC and consoles on September 30.

In Hot Wheels Unleashed, players can drive, unlock, and customize a variety of Hot Wheels vehicles, each with their own attributes and rarity. Cars are modeled to look and feel like their die-cast metal counterparts. Tracks are designed with the iconic orange loops and banks of the toys, with cars drifting, boosting, and crashing to the finish line. Special track pieces allow for inverted tracks, moving bridges, and monster jumps.

The game also includes a track editor, allowing players to build and customize their own tracks and share them with others. Multiplayer supports online and split-screen for local play.

“Like many other team members who worked on the game, I’ve been playing with Hot Wheels since I was a child, and today I’m still a hungry Hot Wheels fan and collector,” said Michele Caletti, Executive Producer, Milestone. “This is the reason why we’re all so committed in delivering the purest and most authentic Hot Wheels gameplay experience ever in a videogame. We owe it to the Hot Wheels community and to our inner children.”

Hot Wheels Unleashed is scheduled to release on September 30 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch.
