Nintendo announced Kirby and the Forgotten Land is releasing on March 25 on Nintendo Switch, for $59.99.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a 3D platformer starring the insatiable pink puffball. A villainous group called the Beast Pack are kidnapping and imprisoning Waddle Dees. Kirby sets out on an adventure to rescue them by using his iconic copy abilities. By sucking up a creature, Kirby gains its abilities, such as wielding a sword, or turning into a whirling tornado.

New copy abilities include the Ranger, which features long-range ability, and the drill, allowing Kirby to submerge into the ground and emerge with a big attack.

The Forgotten Land also includes Waddle Dee Town, which Kirby can visit between levels. The town will build and progress as more Waddle Dees are rescued, with new shops and mini-games.

The game supports up to two player local co-op by a sharing a Joy-Con controller. The second player enters the world as Bandana Waddle Dee, and is armed with a spear.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land launches March 25, and is rated E10+. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Kirby series, so we expect more Kirby content to come! To start, fans can download a 30th anniversary wallpaper here.
