Chucklefish and developer Robotality have announced that turn-based adventure-strategy game Pathway will launch on Nintendo Switch on May 27 ($15.99). Watch the new announcement trailer above.

Pathway takes players back to the 1930s, as Nazis have begun plundering the world for ancient ruins and occult artifacts. You’re tasked with assembling a team of stalwart adventurers to journey through Northern Africa, finding hidden treasures and secrets before they fall into the wrong hands.

Multiple campaigns of varying difficulty include randomized maps filled with hundreds of possible story events and choices. Along the way you’ll clash with Nazi forces, using turn-based squad combat and employing cover and positioning.

Pathway originally launched in 2019 on Steam. The Switch version includes all post-release content, including the Adventures Wanted and Hardcore Mode expansions. Since launch, Pathway added more story events, new tactics and abilities, improved game balance, and a new loot system.

“We’re super excited to be bringing Pathway to the Switch.” says Stefan Bachmann, Game Designer, Robotality. “From day one we thought the game would be a perfect fit for the console. It took a lot of work to bring the game’s real-time lighting effects and pixel art to Switch, but we’re incredibly pleased with the results. In our opinion, this is now the best and most complete version of Pathway with all the post-release updates, so there’s no better time to jump in!”

Pre-orders are available now on the Nintendo eShop with a 20% discount until May 26.
