Beasts of Maravilla Island is a Pokémon Snap-like picture-taking adventure game from Bana Bird Studios and Whitehorn Games, launching this June on PC (Steam), PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox.

Unlike Pokémon Snap, however, your budding photographer is given free roam to explore the titular island and fill your photo book with sketches of fantastical creatures. The island features three distinct regions: the Singing Jungle, the Glimmering River, and the Painted Plateau. Each area has its own native species to discover.

The island is home to over 50 striking plants and creatures, including the Sparkling Lamp Lilly and Prism-Winged Butterfly. Sometimes you’ll need to coax the animals out and help them in order to snap better pictures. Play hide and seek with a crocodile, or help an adorable monkey find its mate.

A demo is currently available on Steam. Beasts of Maravilla Island will launch this summer on PC and consoles. It’s rated E for Everyone.
